In West Garfield Park, a 40-year-old man was critically injured when shots were fired at him from a passing vehicle on the sidewalk in the 3900-block of West Madison Avenue. The victim was rushed to Stroger Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Similarly, in South Shore, a 39-year-old man was shot in the head on the street in the 6800-block of South Dante Avenue. He was in critical condition as he was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, his fate hanging in the balance.
