The Long Beach Police Department reported that the fatal crash took place around 12:40 a.m. on a seemingly ordinary Sunday. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was riding a scooter along the road when a 2012 Cadillac SRX travelling northbound on Orange Avenue struck him. The driver of the vehicle callously fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of devastation.
