The body of Kirinyaga businessman, Samuel Kagwanja, also known as “Chakaka,” has been found in River Sagana after drowning nine days ago. Despite extensive search efforts by various teams including the coast guard and Kenya Red Cross, his body was only recently discovered floating in the river along with his Nissan double cabin vehicle. The incident occurred while he was crossing the Sagana bridge late at night on his way home from Murang’a County. The search operation conducted by Kenya Defence Force officers has been temporarily halted. Kagwanja was a well-known figure in Sagana and Kagio, where he conducted his business. His vehicle is still submerged in the river, and his body has been taken to Montezuma Funeral Home for further investigation.

After nine long days of intense search efforts by multiple agencies, including the coast guard, national disaster team, Kenya police, and the Kenya Red Cross, Kagwanja’s lifeless body was spotted floating in the river alongside his Nissan double cabin vehicle.
