The Incident at the Gas Station in Fort Lupton

On a quiet night at a gas station in Fort Lupton, a routine patrol by the police led to a shocking discovery. A woman, identified as 27-year-old Cheyenne Anastasia, was found in possession of a significant amount of methamphetamine and fentanyl, leading to her arrest on felony charges.

The Arrest and Discovery

It was just before 1 a.m. when police noticed a gray Audi A4 parked in a peculiar manner in front of a convenience store in the 1400 block of Second Street in Fort Lupton. The headlights of the vehicle were on, and Anastasia was the only person inside the car. Suspecting a potential robbery, the police approached the vehicle.

Upon closer inspection, the police observed drug paraphernalia inside the Audi. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 146 grams of methamphetamine and 51.3 grams of blue pills containing fentanyl. Additionally, multiple syringes and burnt tin foil squares were found, indicating drug use.

The Investigation and Arrest

Further investigation revealed discrepancies with the vehicle’s temporary tag from Arizona not matching the VIN on the Audi. Anastasia claimed that the vehicle belonged to her brother and denied any knowledge of the drugs found inside. However, prescription bottles prescribed to Anastasia were also discovered in the Audi.

This incident comes on the heels of Anastasia pleading guilty to introducing contraband into the Adams County Jail in November.

Legal Proceedings and Future Sentencing

With the impending court hearings in both Weld County and Adams County, Anastasia faces serious legal consequences for her actions. The possession of distribution-level amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl carries severe penalties under the law.

As the case unfolds, the authorities will continue their investigation into the source and distribution network of the drugs involved. The impact of this incident on the community serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against illegal substances.
