Winnipeg Police are currently investigating the tragic death of a 46-year-old man who was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries early Sunday morning.

It is believed that this incident marks the 14th homicide in Winnipeg this year, highlighting the concerning rise in violent crimes in the city.

Authorities were alerted around 2:20 a.m. to the area of Portage Avenue and Arlington Street, where they discovered the injured man. Despite their efforts to provide emergency medical care, the man’s condition deteriorated rapidly.

He was swiftly transported to the hospital in critical condition, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
