Investigation Underway in Onawa Shooting Death
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is currently looking into a tragic shooting death that occurred in Onawa. The incident took place on Friday, May 10, in the 1900 block of Granite Street.
911 Call Leads to Discovery
Authorities were alerted to the situation when the Monona County Communication Center received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the area. Deputies quickly responded to the scene and discovered the lifeless body of a 47-year-old woman named Stacey Allen.
Suspect in Custody
Following the discovery of the victim, 48-year-old Jamie Allen was apprehended by the Monona County Sheriff’s Office. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Monona County Jail. Jamie Allen now faces charges of Murder in the 1st Degree, a Class A Felony.
Collaboration with Law Enforcement
