A Corning man has been sentenced to six years and eight months in state prison for two felony counts of false imprisonment. Juan Ramon Ramirez was found guilty of stabbing a victim multiple times in a violent crime incident in October 2023. Corning police, with the help of an off-duty officer in Chico, were able to locate and apprehend Ramirez without incident.
