In a tragic incident in Bundi, Rajasthan, three people attending a wedding were killed and a woman injured after a house collapsed from a lightning strike. The victims were staying in a house near the wedding venue when the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday. Police rushed to the scene and rescued the victims from beneath the rubble, but three people were declared dead at Bundi Hospital. The deceased were identified as Babulal, Karma, and three-year-old Divya, while the injured woman is Hirabai. The incident highlights the dangers of lightning strikes during thunderstorms.

Tragic Incident in Bundi Leaves Three Dead and One Injured

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a lightning strike led to the collapse of a house in Nayagaon of Dhabhais in Bundi district, Rajasthan. The victims, who had travelled to the village to attend a wedding ceremony, were staying in a house nearby when tragedy struck in the early hours of Saturday.

The incident occurred at approximately 2 AM while the occupants of the two-storey house were asleep. The powerful lightning caused the structure to crumble, trapping the individuals inside. Upon receiving the distress call, the local police rushed to the scene to assist in the rescue operation.

Among the casualties were Babulal, a 45-year-old resident of Gothra in Bundi, Karma, a 30-year-old woman from Gorsya Kheda, and three-year-old Divya. Tragically, they lost their lives in the devastating collapse. Another victim, Hirabai, a 52-year-old woman from Raghunathpura, sustained serious injuries and was promptly taken to Bundi Hospital for medical treatment.

Efforts to Save Lives

SHO Manoj Singh Sikarwar recounted the harrowing efforts made by the police team to retrieve the victims from the wreckage. Despite the challenging circumstances, they managed to extricate the individuals and transport them to the hospital. Sadly, the medical team could only confirm the deaths of three of the victims upon arrival.

The close-knit community of Nayagaon was left reeling from the tragedy that unfolded in their midst. The loss of lives has cast a somber shadow over the village, as residents come together to support the families of the deceased and pray for the swift recovery of the injured woman.
