Armed Robbery of Pizza Delivery Driver in Seaford

In a recent incident that has shocked the community of Seaford, the Delaware State Police are currently investigating an armed robbery that took place on the 24000 block of German Road on the night of May 10, 2024. The victim of this brazen crime was a pizza delivery driver who was targeted by three unknown male suspects.

Details of the Incident

According to the preliminary investigation conducted by detectives, the victim was in the process of making a delivery at a residence when the suspects approached him. One of the suspects brandished a gun, threatening the victim, and proceeded to steal both the pizza and the victim’s Toyota Camry. Fortunately, the victim escaped physical harm during the ordeal.

Following the report of the robbery, Delaware State Police troopers were quick to respond. Their swift action led to the discovery of the stolen Camry in the early hours of May 11, 2024. Upon pulling over the vehicle, the occupants attempted to flee, but one individual, later identified as 18-year-old Asjmeir Fiorentino of Seaford, was apprehended shortly after. Despite an extensive search, the remaining suspects managed to evade capture.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

Fiorentino was taken into custody and transported to Troop 5, where he was officially charged with a range of offences, including receiving stolen property over $1,500 (a felony), resisting arrest, driving without a license, and failure to signal. Following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 7, Fiorentino was released on his own recognizance.
