Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 41-year-old Vitaliy Zaystev in Fair Oaks. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office found Zaystev dead with a gunshot wound to his head inside his car in his driveway. Detectives identified Michael Espinosa and Migues Esquibel as suspects who planned and carried out the murder and located them in Idaho with the help of the Boise FBI. A third suspect, Jeannette Nunes, believed to have been in a relationship with the victim, was arrested in San Jose for murder and conspiracy. Nunes is ineligible for bail and will appear in court on Monday.

Last Friday, the quiet community of Fair Oaks was rocked by a tragic event that left one man dead in his own driveway. The victim, 41-year-old Vitaliy Zaystev, was found inside his car with a fatal gunshot wound to his head on Hillridge Way in Fair Oaks at around 11 p.m. on May 3.
The Suspects and the Investigation
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, detectives determined that the suspects arrived at Zaystev’s residence in a separate vehicle shortly after his arrival. One of the suspects then exited their vehicle and fired three rounds, fatally striking the victim.
After an intensive investigation, two suspects, Michael Espinosa and Migues Esquibel, were identified and located in Idaho with the help of the Boise FBI and two other Idaho agencies. They were arrested on May 6 for parole violations and are set to be extradited to Sacramento County.

Another suspect, Jeannette Nunes, who detectives believe was in a relationship with the victim, was arrested in San Jose on Thursday. She has been booked in the Sacramento County Jail on charges of murder and conspiracy and is currently ineligible for bail.
