Authorities in White County, Arkansas, have apprehended a 49-year-old man, Thomas Jordan, from New Hampshire, on charges of human trafficking and online harassment of a minor. The incident unfolded when a juvenile, who was supposed to be on the school bus, went missing but was later found safely with evidence suggesting inappropriate contact with the suspect. Jordan attempted to flee the investigation by heading to Memphis International Airport, where he was intercepted and arrested with the help of various law enforcement agencies. Man Arrested in White County, Arkansas for Trafficking of a Person and Internet Stalking of a Child

In a recent incident that shook the community, deputies in White County, Arkansas arrested a man on charges of trafficking a person and internet stalking of a child. The White County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the Beebe School District Police Department received a concerning report about a juvenile who did not make it to the school bus stop as expected.

Investigation and Arrest

Following the report, school resource officers were able to locate the missing juvenile safely. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that an adult male had picked up the juvenile and dropped her off at the location where she was found. Disturbingly, evidence pointed towards inappropriate contact between the male and the juvenile.

The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Thomas Jordan from New Hampshire, attempted to flee upon learning of the investigation. He headed to Memphis International Airport with plans to board a flight to Orlando, Florida. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of White County Sheriff’s detectives, DEA agents, the United States Air Marshall’s Service, and the Memphis Police Department, Jordan was apprehended at the airport.

Further Investigation

Subsequent to Jordan’s arrest, additional information was uncovered, leading officers to contact the Arkansas division of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. This communication initiated an investigation with the New Hampshire ICAC division, indicating a wider network of illicit activities.
