Drug Bust in Potter County, Texas

Authorities from the Potter County Sheriff’s Office recently conducted a narcotic search at a residence situated at the 200 block of W Cactus Street in Amarillo, Texas. The operation led to the arrest of Jeremiah Cantrell, who was found in an underground bunker on the property.

Discovery of Suspect

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered Cantrell barricaded in the underground bunker. Following a standoff, chemical agents were deployed into the bunker, prompting Cantrell to surrender and comply with the deputies’ commands. He was subsequently placed under arrest and taken into custody.

Seizure of Narcotics and Firearms

During the search warrant, law enforcement officers uncovered approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine and 1 pound of marijuana on the premises. Additionally, multiple firearms and a significant amount of US currency were seized as evidence in the ongoing investigation.
