The Delhi police received a call regarding the incident on May 4, 2024, at 8:22 AM. Upon arrival at the residence in Rao Vihar, Nangloi, authorities found Amarjeet’s lifeless body with visible injuries around his neck. The motive behind the murder is currently under investigation.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer) Jimmy Chiram revealed that the murder took place between Thursday night and Friday morning. Amarjeet had been residing in Laxman’s house for the past decade, as his uncle lived elsewhere in Jwalapuri. The victim, who worked as a delivery agent for Zomato, had been married for eight months, with his wife in Bihar.

Investigation and Autopsy

Upon the discovery of the body, a team of crime investigators and forensic experts examined the crime scene. The body was later transferred to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The police have registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and are actively investigating the crime.
