A third suspect has been apprehended in connection with a fatal nightclub shooting that resulted in one fatality and four injuries, as per Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones. Anthony Brown, 48, faces charges of murder and three counts of aggravated assault for his alleged involvement in the incident at the Sugar Shack Club in Utica. Jones disclosed that Brown was taken into custody after being treated for several gunshot wounds. Two other suspects, Eric Dixon, 34, and Joseph Crum, 42, also face similar charges. The investigation is ongoing, with the possibility of more arrests. The shooting, believed to stem from a dispute, left one dead and four injured.

A third suspect has been apprehended in connection with a fatal nightclub shooting that resulted in one fatality and four individuals sustaining injuries, as per Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones.

Jones announced in a social media update on Tuesday that Anthony Brown, aged 48, has been charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault for his alleged involvement in a midnight shooting at the Sugar Shack Club in Utica.

Brown was taken into custody on Monday evening after being discharged from the hospital, where he received treatment for “several gunshot wounds” sustained during the altercation.

In addition to Brown, two other suspects were identified by Jones as 34-year-old Eric Dixon and 42-year-old Joseph Crum, both facing the same charges as Brown.

“This brings the total number of arrests to three thus far,” Jones stated. “The investigation is ongoing, and there is a possibility of additional charges and arrests.”

According to Jones, the gunfire erupted at the nightclub on Lee Davis Circle, where responding deputies discovered 41-year-old Jason Harris shot “multiple times” and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Four additional individuals, including Anthony Brown, sustained injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment by private vehicles. The other victims were identified as 53-year-old Michael Brown, 29-year-old Deidra Williams, and 22-year-old Lorenzo Cooper.
