The suspects were found in a Chevrolet Tahoe, which was located at Northwest Boulevard and Marshall Street. Tragic Stabbing Incident in Winston-Salem Claims the Life of a Man

In a devastating turn of events, a fatal stabbing occurred in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old man identified as Jamar Dewan Wiley from Greensboro. The incident took place on North Liberty Street, where officers responded to reports of a stabbing at around 8:56 a.m.

According to investigators, Wiley was involved in a verbal altercation with two individuals, leading to one of them stabbing him in the chest. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Wiley succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday evening.

Shortly after the initial incident, another stabbing was reported on North Patterson Avenue, where a 26-year-old man from Kernersville was found with a non-life-threatening stab wound. The assailant in this case fled the scene in a Chevrolet Tahoe, similar to the first incident.

Connection Between the Two Incidents

Through video evidence obtained from both Liberty Street and Patterson Avenue, investigators were able to link the two stabbings. The Chevrolet Tahoe involved in both incidents was located at Northwest Boulevard and Marshall Street, with two individuals inside.

Following a traffic stop, 30-year-old Jeffrey Hugo Silva and 27-year-old Oscar Daniel Noyola-Lopez, both from Winston-Salem, were arrested in connection with the stabbings. Police have stated that this does not appear to be a random act of violence.

Legal Ramifications for the Suspects

Noyola-Lopez was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill/inflict serious injury and misdemeanor going armed to the terror of the public. After Wiley’s death, Noyola-Lopez also faced a felony murder charge. Similarly, Silva was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill/inflict serious injury and felony accessory after the fact. Both suspects have been denied bond.
