SANFORD, Fla. – Seventeen-year-old Sadarion Cosby tragically lost his life in a shocking incident in Sanford earlier this month. Deputy Chief Trekelle Perkins shared new details during a press conference on Tuesday, shedding light on the events surrounding Cosby’s untimely death.
The incident took place near the intersection of Scott Drive and Ellen Place on April 9, where Cosby and his acquaintances approached a black Kia K5 for what was supposed to be a drug exchange.

Tragically, one of the individuals from Cosby’s group, identified as 21-year-old Terrell Walker, pulled out a gun during the exchange in an attempt to rob the driver. In response, the Kia driver fired a single shot that struck Cosby in the abdomen as he leaned against the car window.
