I’m so sad to report the passing of Andrew Stunell, a beloved MP, peer, councillor, and minister. Known as the activists’ activist, he was a mentor to many, including myself, both before and after our victory in Westmorland. Andrew was a funny, wise, humble, gentle, and selfless man, known for his wild and crazy hair. My heart goes out to his wife, Gillian, and their family during this difficult time.

Andrew Stunell was a true champion for his constituents and a dedicated public servant. Throughout his career in politics, he worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those he represented. His passion for social justice and equality was evident in everything he did, and his commitment to making a difference was unwavering.
