Rajasthan News: A devastating incident unfolded in Ajmer, Rajasthan, where a beloved Muslim cleric, Mohammad Tahir, was brutally assaulted and tragically succumbed to his injuries. The shocking event took place late Saturday night inside a mosque where Tahir used to impart teachings to young children.
Reports from the police indicate that the attack occurred around 2 AM, catching Tahir and six young pupils off guard while they were engaged in their nightly prayers. Three masked assailants stormed the mosque and viciously attacked Tahir with sticks, leading to his untimely demise.
Despite the presence of the children witnessing this horrific act, the attackers threatened them into silence and confiscated their phones to prevent them from seeking help. It was only after the assailants fled that the children were able to alert the local community about the harrowing incident.
An investigation is currently underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. Tahir, hailing from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh, had dedicated his life to educating children at the mosque. His body was later handed over to his grieving family who had rushed from Uttar Pradesh to Ajmer.
The local authorities have filed a case against the unknown attackers under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. As of now, no arrests have been made, but efforts to bring the culprits to justice are in full swing.
This tragic event has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting a deeper investigation into the circumstances surrounding Tahir’s death. The police are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that justice is served for this senseless act of violence.
