Shimlapuri Resident Robbed After Offering Lift to Stranger

A Shimlapuri resident, Rajinder Singh, 38, fell victim to a robbery after offering a lift to a stranger on April 26. The incident took place near Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib in Ludhiana, Punjab. Rajinder was returning home on his scooter after finishing work when he was approached by the accused, Gurjant Singh, of Sekhan Chowk in Moga, who requested a lift.

As they reached Arora Palace, the situation took a turn for the worse. Gurjant Singh allegedly assaulted Rajinder, overpowering him and robbing him of his mobile phone and scooter. The incident left Rajinder in shock, but he managed to raise an alarm and inform the police promptly.

Sub-inspector Satnam Singh, who is investigating the case, wasted no time in launching an investigation after receiving the complaint.
