Three young men tragically lost their lives in Sylhet’s Zakiganj upazila when their motorcycle collided with a parked lorry late Saturday night. The victims, Delwar Hossain, 36, Redwan Hossain, 26, and Manjur Hossain, 24, were all from Barothakuri village. The incident occurred during heavy rain at 11:45pm, according to witnesses. Two of the men died instantly, while the third passed away en route to the hospital. This marks the seventh motorcycle-related fatality in the area in the past 15 days. The fatal crash took place at 11:45 pm in the village, amidst heavy rainfall, as the motorcycle carrying the victims collided with a parked lorry near a local brickfield. According to witnesses quoted by Jabed Masud, the officer-in-charge of Zakiganj Police Station, the impact of the collision was devastating.
Tragically, two of the victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene, while the third victim passed away while being transported to the hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy procedures.
