Man Murdered in Jokela Village, Dumka, Jharkhand
DUMKA/RANCHI: A 62-year-old man identified as Neelkanth Yadav was brutally murdered by unknown assailants in Jokela village, located in Jharkhand’s Dumka district. The incident took place on Friday night while Yadav was peacefully sleeping in the courtyard of his residence, as reported by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Jermundi) Santosh Kumar.

According to the police officer, “Yadav received a bullet injury on his head and died on the spot,” and the assailants quickly fled the scene after committing the heinous crime. The victim’s family members were alerted by the sound of gunfire and promptly informed the police about the incident.
Upon receiving the information, a police team swiftly reached the crime scene and recovered Yadav’s lifeless body, which was subsequently sent for post-mortem examination in Dumka.
Kumar added that the police have launched an investigation to uncover the motive behind the shocking incident. The peaceful village of Jokela has been left in a state of shock and disbelief following this tragic event.
