Crime news: Two men were tragically stabbed to death in a horrific incident that took place in the bustling streets of the national capital, Delhi. The Delhi Police revealed that the gruesome attack was the result of a heated argument over cigarettes that escalated into a violent altercation. The harrowing incident came to light when the police received a distressing PCR call at 1.22 am on Thursday, alerting them to the stabbing. According to an eyewitness, Mubin, the chilling sequence of events began when Fardeen was invited to a reception hosted by his cousin, leading to a fateful confrontation that would end in tragedy.
As the night progressed, Sameer and Fardeen ventured outside together, only for Sameer to return moments later, gravely injured and being pursued by three assailants brandishing a knife. Sameer was rushed to BJRM hospital with severe wounds inflicted by a sharp object on his abdomen and shoulder. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he tragically succumbed to his injuries at LNJP hospital.

Meanwhile, Fardeen, a hardworking battery rickshaw driver, met a cruel fate as he lost his life at the scene of the attack. Mubin recounted to the police that the fatal altercation erupted when the assailants, identified as Abdul Sammi, Vikas, and Arshlan, demanded cigarettes from the victims. When Sameer and Fardeen denied having any, the situation quickly spiraled out of control, leading to the fatal stabbing.
The investigation further revealed that the confrontation may have been triggered by an earlier incident where the victims allegedly relieved themselves near the residences of the accused. This seemingly trivial act escalated into a violent clash that resulted in the tragic loss of two lives. The police recovered the weapons used in the attack, including a country-made pistol and blood-stained clothes, along with CCTV footage that captured the chilling pursuit of Sameer by the assailants.
In light of Mubin’s statement and the evidence gathered, a case was promptly registered at Bhalswa Dairy police station, and the three suspects were apprehended. As the investigation continues, the police are leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice for the victims and their families.
