According to Police Captain Florencio Cabanlit Jr., chief of the Tabogon Police Station, the siblings were on their way home to Barangay San Jose, Borbon town, after a day at school in Tabogon. Tragically, their journey took a fatal turn when their motorcycle collided with an Isuzu Elf truck (CAG 9476) driven by Ferdinand Pepito of Barangay Calambua, San Remigio.

Emman, who was behind the wheel, was navigating a sharp curve at speed when the collision occurred. The impact was so powerful that both siblings sustained severe head injuries and body fractures. Despite being rushed to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City, they were pronounced dead upon arrival.
