Gloucester Township Man Fatally Shot at Local Housing Complex

According to new documents released by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Nasir Tart was killed at the LaCascata housing development by Hasan Battie, 21, who was later charged with murder. The affidavit for Battie’s arrest revealed that minutes before the shooting, Tart and Battie encountered each other at a nearby gas station. Tart had been dropped off at 7-Eleven on Blackwood-Clementon Road and was seen leaving the Sunoco with a small group shortly after.

Surveillance Footage and Investigation

Video surveillance footage captured the group interacting with Battie, who was identified as the suspect in the case. The footage showed Tart and his group leaving in a white Jeep, while Battie walked towards the LaCascata complex.
