This devastating event occurred approximately 90 miles southeast of Austin, and has deeply impacted the local community.
The Victims
The latest victim to succumb to injuries from the crash has been identified as Cheryl Turner, a 63-year-old resident of Brenham. Turner was one of six individuals who were transported to hospitals following the April 12 incident. Another victim remains in critical condition, with their current status unknown. The Texas Department of Public Safety has not provided any further details or comments regarding the situation.
Bobby Huff, 78, was airlifted to CHI St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, where he tragically passed away shortly after the crash. The loss of these individuals has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many in mourning.
The Suspect
Clenard Parker, 42, is facing a total of nine charges, including one murder charge, with bail set at $4.05 million according to county records. It remains unclear whether Parker will face an additional murder charge in connection with Turner’s death.
