The Tragic Kidnapping and Murder of Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas

Last week, law enforcement officials in Florida made a shocking discovery in the case of the kidnapping and murder of 31-year-old Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas. The incident took place in Seminole County, where Guerrero De Aguasvivas was filmed being kidnapped at gunpoint by a suspect who later drove off with her in her SUV.

Witnesses captured footage of the April 11 kidnapping, showing the suspect aiming his gun at Guerrero De Aguasvivas before getting into the back seat of her vehicle and driving away. Tragically, a body believed to be Guerrero De Aguasvivas was found inside a burning vehicle about 17 miles away from where she was abducted.

Person of Interest Identified

Jordanish Torres-Garcia, 28, has been arrested on a separate charge of weapons possession and is now considered a person of interest in the kidnapping and murder investigation. Detectives were able to trace a green Acura seen in the kidnapping footage back to Torres-Garcia, who allegedly purchased the vehicle in person under a different name through Facebook.

Authorities have also connected another incident to the case, as Juan Luis Cintron Garcia, a tow truck driver who had towed the Acura in March, was fatally shot just a day before Guerrero De Aguasvivas’ kidnapping. This led law enforcement to believe that the two cases are linked.

Furthermore, since the incident, authorities have arrested Orange County Deputy Francisco Alberto Estrella Chicon, 33, for allegedly disclosing details about the murder investigation to Guerrero De Aguasvivas’ husband over WhatsApp. However, Guerrero De Aguasvivas’ husband is not considered a suspect or person of interest in the case.
