In the early hours of the morning, a quiet neighbourhood in Rawalpindi was shattered by a violent attack on the mansion of a local politician. Three unknown gunmen unleashed a barrage of gunfire, using sophisticated weaponry that resulted in the tragic deaths of a man and a woman. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Police Station Chontra, sending shockwaves through the community.
Swift Police Response
Upon receiving reports of the attack, a heavy contingent of police swiftly arrived at the scene. They immediately transported the bodies of the victims, identified as Mohsin (35) and Rani Bibi (44), to the hospital for postmortem examination. Despite the severity of the assault, a young girl miraculously escaped unharmed from the deadly gunfire.

Police Response
A team of 5000 policemen had been deployed in the area to ensure the safety of the T20 series between the two teams. Upon receiving the report of the robbery, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the scene and recorded the statement of the victim, a cashier named Faisal from Rawal Feeds.
Details of the Robbery
Sources revealed that Faisal was on his way to deposit cash in a bank located in the Commercial Market when two armed dacoits intercepted him. The criminals, brandishing guns, snatched cash worth Rs 10 million from the cashier before fleeing the scene. A police team led by SI Haseeb Ahmed promptly arrived at the crime scene following the victim’s alert.
