BENGALURU: In a shocking turn of events, a 45-year-old event manager allegedly stabbed his 25-year-old former girlfriend to death in a south Bengaluru park, only to be bludgeoned to death by the victim’s mother with a hollow brick late Thursday night. The incident has left eyewitnesses in a state of disbelief and horror.
The first victim, identified as Anusha, a resident of Shakambari Nagar in JP Nagar, was brutally murdered inside Sarakki Park near her house, off JP Nagar, around 4:15 pm. Anusha, who worked as a home attendant for elderly persons, had earlier approached JP Nagar police and filed a harassment complaint against T Suresh, a resident of Goraguntepalya. Following the complaint, the police summoned Suresh to the station and obtained a written undertaking from him to stay away from Anusha.
According to eyewitnesses, Suresh and Anusha were engaged in an argument at the park before Suresh attacked her with a knife, stabbing her repeatedly. Anusha’s mother, Geetha, who works as a caregiver for the elderly, rushed to her daughter’s aid upon hearing her screams. Despite her efforts to stop Suresh, she was unable to prevent the tragic outcome. Geetha then picked up a cement brick and struck Suresh on the head multiple times, resulting in his death.

Following the attack, Geetha, with the help of passersby, rushed the critically injured Anusha to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared Anusha dead upon arrival, citing deep stab wounds to her chest and stomach as the cause of death. Meanwhile, a Hoysala patrol vehicle and police from JP Nagar station arrived at the scene, moving Suresh’s body to the same hospital as Anusha for further examination.
Investigations revealed that Suresh, who claimed to be single, was involved in a romantic relationship with Anusha and had promised to marry her. However, Anusha later discovered that Suresh was married with two children, prompting her to distance herself from him. Despite this, Suresh continued to harass her, leading to the tragic events that unfolded in the park.
Police sources confirmed that Suresh had been previously warned to stay away from Anusha after she filed a complaint against him. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the double homicide and are interviewing witnesses to piece together the sequence of events that led to the tragic loss of two lives.
The community has been left in shock and mourning following the devastating incident, with many expressing disbelief at the gruesome nature of the killings. As the investigation unfolds, the families of the victims are left to grapple with the heartbreaking loss of their loved ones in a senseless act of violence that has shaken the local community to its core.
