Thirteen people, including 11 students, were hospitalised after a two-vehicle crash in Manchester Township on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at 8:30 a.m. on the corner of Ridgeway Road and South Hope Chapel. Police reported that a Ford Transit van carrying 11 students was on its way to school when it collided with an Acura making a turn onto County Road 571. The Acura, driven by 53-year-old Tracey Kahn of Forked River, sustained facial lacerations and was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River. The Ford driver, 20-year-old Dvora Katz of Jackson, also suffered facial lacerations and was transported to Jersey Shore University Hospital in Neptune. Some students were taken to Jersey Shore University Hospital and others to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus for treatment of minor injuries. Both drivers and students are currently in stable condition.
