A 32-year-old Indian man has been arrested in Kanchanaburi province for allegedly stabbing a 51-year-old Thai woman 31 times, leading to her death at a hotel in Bangkok on Tuesday night. The incident took place at a five-story hotel on Soi Wutthakat 14 Road in Thon Buri district. The victim, Sukanya Disayabut, had a 20-year-old son and usually stayed at the hotel during the day, leaving at night. The suspect, Rajman Yabav, was found with a large knife wound on his right arm and confessed to the murder, stating it was an act of anger. Police are awaiting an interpreter for further questioning.

The victim, Sukanya Disayabut, had been staying at the hotel since April 7, along with the suspect, Rajman Yabav.

Details of the Incident

On the day of the murder, a hotel employee overheard a heated argument coming from the second-floor room occupied by the victim and the suspect. Concerned, the employee attempted to contact the room via phone, only to have the calls abruptly disconnected. Shortly after midday, the Indian man was seen leaving the hotel in a composed manner, riding off on a blue-grey motorcycle registered in Nakhon Pathom province.

Discovery of the Crime

Upon investigation, police discovered Sukanya Disayabut lifeless in the room with 31 stab wounds. A blood-stained 30-centimetre knife was also recovered at the scene, indicating the brutal nature of the crime. The suspect, Rajman Yabav, was apprehended in Tha Maka district of Kanchanaburi province later that same evening. He was being treated at Makarak Hospital for a severe knife wound on his right arm.

Confession and Motive

During police interrogation, Mr Yabav reportedly admitted to the murder, citing anger as his motive. While awaiting a translator to facilitate further questioning, authorities are piecing together the events that led to this tragic outcome.
