He has been booked on suspicion of murder and other charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Mahmoud is currently being held on $3.1 million bail.

LBPD officers established a perimeter in the area where Mahmoud was last seen and activated the SWAT Team in an effort to locate him. The successful apprehension of the suspect was a result of diligent investigative work by law enforcement.
