NORTH RIDGEVILLE — North Ridgeville High School received the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Momentum Award in recognition of improvement in growth and achievement on the Ohio Schools Report Cards for the 2022-2023 academic year.

According to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, “The Momentum Award is for districts and buildings that have demonstrated improvement in achievement while also continuing to show growth. The Momentum Award is for districts and buildings that have improved their performance index by three or more points from the 2021-2022 report card to the 2022-2023 report card and received a value-added progress rating of four or more stars.”

In the state of Ohio, there are 3,599 schools in 611 districts. This Momentum Award was received by 310 buildings which equates to about eight percent of schools in the state. North Ridgeville High School Principal Joseph Mueller states, “We have come a long way over the last two years to build a culture where students feel supported. This investment in our students has created growth and achievement in our district as evidenced by our improved test scores and state report cards. We are elated that our hard work has been recognized at the state level.”
