Investigation into Fatal Traffic Incident Near Howard University Campus

The vehicle then continued towards Fairmont Street, NW, where it failed to make a left turn and ended up mounting a curb, ultimately hitting a man who was either on or near a crosswalk.

As a result of the collision, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment. Tragically, on April 15, the man passed away due to the severity of his injuries. He has been identified as 18-year-old Mohamed Samura, a young individual with his whole life ahead of him.
