Nashville police have apprehended the final suspect involved in a St. Patrick’s Day shooting that resulted in the tragic death of a local security guard. The 18-year-old suspect, who was 17 at the time of the incident, has been charged with criminal homicide and three counts of vehicle burglary in juvenile court. The security guard, identified as Maurice Thomas Jr., was on patrol in the parking lot of the Illuzion Bar and Lounge located on Murfreesboro Pike at approximately 2 a.m. on March 17 when he encountered a group of car burglars. Surveillance footage from the scene captured the altercation between Thomas and the three suspects, leading to a fatal outcome.
