Suspect’s Background

Juan Carlos Garcia, a 24-year-old resident of Albuquerque and a native of Columbia, is facing an open count of murder in connection with Luis Romero’s death. Garcia is also a suspect in a shooting that occurred in Southeast Albuquerque on September 15, but he was out on pretrial release at the time of the fatal stabbing.
