During preliminary interrogation, the suspects admitted to their active involvement in the offense. Gupta was identified as the rider of the motorcycle, while Pal, seated behind him, fired shots at Khan’s house. The Mumbai police’s crime branch revealed to a local court that the suspects had aimed to kill the Bollywood star.

Seeking Custody

Presented before a magistrate’s court, the police sought custody of the accused for 14 days to conduct further investigations. The crime branch emphasized the necessity of identifying the mastermind behind the attack and uncovering the motive. They also highlighted the need to recover the firearm used in the incident and examine the motorcycle used by the suspects.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

Additional chief metropolitan magistrate L S Paden granted police custody of the suspects until April 25 for custodial interrogation.

They fled the scene, leaving the motorcycle near Mount Mary Church, approximately a kilometer away from the actor’s residence.
