A tragic accident in Kota Bharu resulted in the death of a young biker, Ahmad Izuddin Ahmad Jhosman, along with two of his friends in a seven-vehicle pile-up on the Ketereh-Kota Bharu highway. Ahmad, 21, was among three bikers killed in the collision, while three others sustained serious injuries. Ahmad’s father, Ahmad Jhosman Ab Rahman, recalled his son’s passion for motoring and automotive skills. Ahmad’s sister, Siti Maisarah, described him as a quiet person who cared for his siblings. The family is mourning the loss of Ahmad, who will be laid to rest in the Islamic cemetery at Kampung Teluk Kandis in Salor.

Tragic Motorcycle Convoy Accident in Kota Bharu
KOTA BHARU: Tragedy struck in the early hours of the morning when a motorcycle convoy ended in a seven-vehicle pile-up at KM 9.9 of the Ketereh-Kota Bharu highway. The incident, which occurred at 12.50 am, claimed the lives of three individuals, including 21-year-old Ahmad Izuddin Ahmad Jhosman, who tragically passed away while receiving treatment at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kubang Kerian.
The victim, known for his passion for motorcycling, had left his home in Kampung Teluk Kandis in Salor to meet up with his friends at an eatery in Ketereh. Despite his mother’s plea for him to stay for dinner, Ahmad Izuddin was eager to join his biking pals for a night out.
Ahmad Jhosman Ab Rahman, the victim’s father, shared his concerns after having a disturbing dream about a broken tooth during the holy month of Ramadan. He now believes it was a premonition of his son’s untimely death. Ahmad Izuddin, a security guard by profession, was pursuing his TVET diploma studies at Giatmara Rantau Panjang, showcasing his dedication to his education and passion for automotive skills.
As the family mourns the loss of their beloved son and brother, the community remembers Ahmad Izuddin for his quiet demeanor and his caring nature towards his younger siblings. His sister, Siti Maisarah, fondly recalls their last interaction during the second day of Syawal, reminiscing about the bond they shared.

The accident not only claimed Ahmad Izuddin’s life but also took the lives of two of his friends, Azman Uji and Muhammad Faiz Mohd Nasarudin, both of whom passed away at HUSM. Additionally, three other bikers involved in the collision suffered critical injuries and are currently receiving treatment at Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital.
Today, as the community gathers to bid farewell to Ahmad Izuddin, his final resting place will be at the Islamic cemetery in Kampung Teluk Kandis in Salor. The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that come with reckless driving and the importance of road safety for all motorists.
