Shootout at Frayser Convenience Store Leads to Detainment of Two Teenagers and a Man
Memphis, Tennessee – A dramatic incident unfolded in the early hours of April 16 at a convenience store in Frayser, where two teenagers and a man were detained after a shootout. The Shell Station on Range Line Road became the scene of chaos as gunshots rang out, catching the attention of patrol officers on Hollywood Road.
Unfolding of Events
The officers witnessed passengers inside a Nissan opening fire on another vehicle, identified as a Chevy Malibu. The situation escalated quickly as the Nissan’s driver struggled to take control, causing the vehicle to spin out. The passengers then fled from the scene, but law enforcement managed to apprehend two individuals.
Surveillance Video Reveals Details
Upon reviewing the store’s surveillance footage, officers observed the passengers entering the store briefly before returning to their car. Moments later, a Chevy Malibu pulled up in front of the Nissan, and a man emerged from the Malibu, firing shots at the Nissan. In a retaliatory move, the passengers inside the Nissan returned fire.
Outcome of the Incident
Following the exchange of gunfire, the men in the Malibu sped away from the scene. Shortly after, reports came in of a person sustaining a gunshot wound to the head. Officers located a 14-year-old boy on James Road with a graze wound, who was subsequently taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for treatment. It was determined that he was the driver of the Nissan involved in the shootout.

Police Investigation
In their efforts to piece together the events, law enforcement officers revisited the scene but were unable to locate any firearms. Two other individuals associated with the Nissan, a 15-year-old and a 21-year-old, were brought in for questioning regarding their involvement in the incident.
