The Search for Michael Owusu-Sakyi
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating 47-year-old Michael Owusu-Sakyi in connection with a non-fatal shooting that took place on April 5 on the 1700 block of Fairlawn Avenue, SE in Washington, D.C.
MPD records show that officers were called to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found an adult female victim with gunshot wounds. She was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries that were fortunately not life-threatening.
Owusu-Sakyi has been identified as the suspect in this case and is currently wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the DC Superior Court, charging him with assault with a dangerous weapon.
