The arrest of armed suspects in Nallasopara led to the unraveling of a gruesome murder on the Vasai highway in 2021. The suspects, Pokhan Paran Sav and Abdul Mubarak Ali Shah, were found with weapons indicating their criminal intentions. During interrogation, it was revealed that they, along with accomplice Imran Ibrahim Siddique, had brutally murdered Vakil Ahmed Idrisi. Pokhan, in a relationship with the victim’s wife, plotted the murder due to jealousy. The trio strangled and stabbed Idrisi before dumping his body. The police arrested the suspects and filed charges including murder, kidnapping, and intimidation. The case remained unsolved for three years until the recent breakthrough.

A recent tip-off led to the arrest of two armed individuals who were allegedly planning a serious offence. However, what unfolded after their apprehension shocked the authorities. It was discovered that the duo, Pokhan Paran Sav and Abdul Mubarak Ali Shah alias Badda, were involved in a gruesome murder that took place on the Vasai highway in 2021.

The crime detection unit attached to the Pelhar police station, under the supervision of senior police inspector Jitendra Vankoti, received information about the armed suspects’ arrival. They quickly sprung into action and laid a trap, resulting in the arrest of the two individuals from the Dhaniv Baug area of Nallasopara (east). Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the duo, along with their accomplice Imran Ibrahim Siddique, were responsible for the brutal murder of a man named Vakil Ahmed Idrisi.

The motive behind the murder was uncovered during the interrogation. Pokhan, who was in a relationship with the deceased’s wife, saw Idrisi as an obstacle and devised a plan to eliminate him. On the fateful night of September 3, 2021, the trio forcibly abducted Idrisi, strangled him to death, and then stabbed him in the neck with a key. The mutilated body was later discovered in an isolated area in Bhaliwali village in Vasai tehsil by the Virar police on September 6, 2021.

The case had remained unsolved for three years until the recent breakthrough. Pokhan’s sinister intentions didn’t stop there; he also planned to eliminate another paramour of the woman, but his scheme failed to materialize. The police promptly arrested the trio’s accomplice and registered a case at the Virar police station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder, kidnapping, causing disappearance of evidence, intentional insult, and criminal intimidation. The suspects were remanded to custody after appearing in court.
