Early on Tuesday morning, a single-vehicle collision caused chaos on Mt. Pleasant Road, leading to an extended closure that lasted for over five hours.

The Brantford Police department reported that the vehicle involved had two occupants, aged 18 and 19, who were both hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. The 17-year-old male driver was charged with impaired driving following the incident.

During the investigation, Mt. Pleasant Road remained closed from approximately 1:30 a.m. until around 7 a.m., causing significant disruption to morning commuters.

OPP Seeks Dash-Cam Footage for Fatal Highway 403 Crash

Authorities from the Brant County OPP are appealing to the public for any dash-cam footage that could assist in their investigation of a fatal collision on Highway 403. The tragic accident, which occurred at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, involved two cars and a truck, resulting in multiple injuries and one fatality.

A 33-year-old man from Milton lost his life in the crash, while the driver of the truck involved emerged unscathed.

The westbound lanes of the highway had to be shut down for several hours as the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team conducted their investigation. Emergency services from Brant County Fire, Burford, and Brant and Oxford County Paramedic Services all responded to the scene.
