Three areas of interest were identified to contain human blood spatter on the floor of the storage unit.
On the following day, October 30, Hunt and her team responded to a suspected clandestine grave near Lake Edward on public land. Using probes, they uncovered an object buried approximately 3 feet underground. A clandestine grave is described as an unrecorded burial, often in a remote location, typically dug less than about 3 feet in depth below ground level.

During the excavation, black clothing was discovered about 2 feet down. Hunt reported that it took about six hours to unearth Brogle’s body. A small defect was observed at the base of Brogle’s skull at the back of his head. In addition to the body, investigators found a plastic grocery bag containing rags stained with various shades of red and emitting a strong bleach odor. Latex gloves were also found in the bag, and blood was detected inside a U-Haul trailer.
Regarding the latent prints in the case, Hunt mentioned that two partial prints were found on the bag from the grave, with one being suitable for comparison.
