Peel Regional Police (PRP) responded to a call around 8:15 a.m. that day and found 58-year-old Keith Lasaga suffering significant trauma from the assault.

Keith Lasaga was rushed to the hospital following the attack and remained in critical condition for several weeks before succumbing to his injuries on March 23. Peel Regional Police’s homicide bureau took over the investigation, revealing that the accused, 23-year-old Muhammad Khan, and the victim were not known to each other.

The Arrest and Charges

Muhammad Khan, who had been previously in custody for the assault, was re-arrested on April 4 and charged with second-degree murder. He is currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing at a Brampton court.
