Meade and Umphenour are believed to be members of the Aryan Knights white supremacist prison gang.

Meade, 31, was serving a 20-year sentence at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution for shooting at a sheriff’s sergeant, while Umphenour was released in January after serving time for theft and gun convictions. The two had mutual friends and were sometimes housed together in prison.
