Boy Arrested in Connection to Multiple Shootings in Long Beach, CA

In a recent incident that has shocked the residents of Long Beach, California, a boy was arrested on Saturday in connection to an early-morning shooting that left a teenage boy injured and for three previous shootings. The Long Beach Police Department confirmed that the boy, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody after the 1:40 a.m. shooting near Baltic Avenue and Burnett Street. The victim, a 16-year-old boy, sustained injuries to his lower body and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Series of Shootings

This particular incident was not an isolated one. The boy was also linked to three previous shootings in the area. Police revealed that he was apprehended after being identified as the suspect in a no-hit shooting that occurred on February 27 in the same vicinity. Additionally, he is suspected of being involved in two more shootings that took place on Friday night, just hours before the teenage victim was wounded. The first incident occurred at 11:27 p.m. in the 1500 block of West 20th Street, followed by another shooting at 11:50 p.m. in the 2900 block of Webster Avenue.

Police Investigation

After the arrest, detectives were able to recover firearms that are believed to have been used in the recent shootings. The Long Beach Police Department is now preparing to present the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration. The authorities are working diligently to ensure that justice is served in this matter.
