In Ludhiana, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and his gunman tragically lost their lives in a road accident on Dyalpura Bypass in Samrala. The incident occurred when their Fortuner SUV collided with a Scorpio vehicle on the two-way flyover, amidst farmers’ protests. The driver, Gurpreet Singh, sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The ACP, Sandeep Singh, and his gunman, Paramjot Singh, were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Ludhiana ACP and Gunman
An unfortunate incident took place on Friday evening on the Dyalpura Bypass in the Samrala area of Ludhiana, resulting in the untimely demise of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sandeep Singh and his gunman, Paramjot Singh. The ACP, who was only 34 years old, was serving in the Ludhiana Police Commissionerate as ACP East, while his gunman was 35-year-old Paramjot Singh. The driver of their vehicle, Gurpreet Singh, also sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital in Samrala for treatment.
The trio was on their way from Chandigarh to Ludhiana in a Fortuner SUV when the tragic accident occurred. As they approached the Dyalpura Bypass around 12.30 pm, they encountered a closure of one side of the road due to ongoing farmer protests against the establishment of a biogas plant in Mushkabad village. It was at this point that their vehicle collided head-on with a Scorpio coming from the opposite direction, resulting in severe injuries to the ACP, his gunman, and the driver.
Emergency services were quick to respond, and the injured individuals were promptly taken to a hospital in Samrala for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, both the ACP and his gunman succumbed to their injuries, leaving a void in the Ludhiana Police force and a sense of grief in the community.
