In a series of heartbreaking events, Bannu was struck by tragedy on Saturday as two individuals, a young woman and a teenage boy, lost their lives in separate incidents of suicide and murder.

Suicide by Hanging

The first incident involved a 24-year-old man named Noor Alam, who was found hanging by a rope in his home in the Adda Miryakhel area of Bannu. The authorities swiftly moved his body to the District Headquarters Hospital for further examination. The Miryakhel police initiated an investigation into the matter following a complaint lodged by the deceased’s father, Qamar Zaman.

Tragic End for a Young Woman

Meanwhile, in Railway Road area of Bannu city, a 23-year-old married woman took her own life by consuming toxic pills. The police are currently probing the incident after a case was registered by the deceased’s brother.

Violence Claims Another Life

In a separate incident, violence reared its ugly head as unknown assailants gunned down a 16-year-old boy named Kabir Khan in the Kausar Fatehkhel area. The lifeless body of the victim was rushed to DHQ Hospital, prompting the city police to launch an investigation and register a case against the perpetrators.

Enmity Leads to Fatal Consequences

Adding to the grim toll, a young man named Amin Jan, aged 25, fell victim to a longstanding enmity when he was fatally shot by his rivals in the Takhtikhel Bakkakhel area. The police wasted no time in registering a case against the attackers, including individuals identified as Nadir Khan, Karjan, and Sinwal.
