(GRSE) headquarters, a horrifying incident unfolded. A 49-year-old man named Md Anis met a tragic end in a dispute that escalated over water wastage and sewage problems.

The Victim and the Attack

Md Anis, a resident of Garden Reach, was brutally attacked by his neighbours, leading to his untimely demise. The assailants, armed with a hammer and iron bangles, inflicted fatal injuries on Anis. The altercation, which also resulted in one of his sons sustaining injuries, was reportedly a culmination of a longstanding feud over the sewage water accumulation near Anis’s residence due to a faulty drainage system.

Following the heinous crime, the Kolkata Police swiftly took action and apprehended two individuals, Md Arif and Tabassum Ara alias Neha, in connection with the murder. However, the authorities have hinted at the possibility of more arrests as the investigation progresses. The Victim’s Family’s Account

The victim’s son, Md Atif, lodged a complaint at the Garden Reach police station, naming several residents from the Bangla Basti and Badamtalli areas as perpetrators of the fatal assault.
