A white Toyota Fortuner SUV belonging to Mallika Nadda, wife of BJP chief JP Nadda, was stolen from a service center in Govindpuri, Delhi on March 19. Stolen SUV Belonging to BJP Chief’s Wife Recovered in Varanasi

A white Toyota Fortuner SUV belonging to Mallika Nadda, the wife of BJP chief JP Nadda, was allegedly stolen from a service centre in Govindpuri area of Delhi on March 19. The incident left Mallika Nadda’s driver, Joginder Singh, in shock as he returned from lunch to find the vehicle missing.

Arrest of Alleged Thieves and Recovery of Stolen Vehicle

The Delhi Police recently announced that the stolen SUV has been recovered from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, two suspects, identified as Shahid and Shivang Tripathi, both residents of Badkhal near Faridabad in Haryana, have been arrested in connection with the theft.

The investigation revealed that the two accused arrived in Govindpuri in a Hyundai Creta car, where they stole the Toyota Fortuner SUV. They then swapped the original registration plate with a fake one to avoid detection and drove the vehicle to Varanasi via several cities in Uttar Pradesh.

The stolen SUV was last captured on CCTV heading towards Gurugram with a Himachal Pradesh number plate. It was eventually traced to Varanasi, where the accused planned to sell the vehicle in Nagaland. However, their plans were thwarted as law enforcement authorities were able to track them down and make the arrests.
