Three people were killed and 28 others, including 26 Special Armed Forces (SAF) jawans, were injured in a tragic accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni. The incident occurred when a bus carrying SAF personnel collided with a car on the Seoni Mandla state highway. The car had five passengers, including the driver, and the deceased were identified as Kanhaiya Jaswani, Niklesh Jaswani, and Purushottam Mahobia. The bus was carrying 31 jawans and was en route to Pandhurna from Mandla Battalion Camp. The accident was reportedly caused by the bus driver losing control due to potholes on the road.

Tragic Accident in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh

On a fateful Friday morning, tragedy struck in the village of Dhanagadha in Keolari, Seoni, Madhya Pradesh. A bus carrying 31 Special Armed Forces (SAF) jawans from the 35th Battalion Mandla collided with a car, resulting in the loss of three lives and injuring 28 others, including 26 SAF jawans.

Details of the Accident

The accident occurred on the Seoni Mandla state highway around 1am. The bus, en route to Pandhurna (Chhindwara) from Mandla Battalion Camp, lost control and collided with a car carrying five passengers, including the driver.

Tragically, all three fatalities were passengers of the car, identified as Kanhaiya Jaswani (75), Niklesh Jaswani (45), and car driver Purushottam Mahobia (37), all residents of Mandla. Two other passengers, Ashok Kukreja (53) and Mamta Jaswani (42), sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Injuries and Hospital Referrals

Of the 26 injured SAF jawans, one was in critical condition and had to be referred to a hospital in Nagpur. Additionally, 25 SAF jawans and two car occupants were taken to the Community Health Center Keolari Hospital for medical attention.

An eyewitness at the scene reported that the bus driver lost control due to large potholes on the road, leading to the collision with the car.

Police Investigation and Response

Keolari police station in-charge Chain Singh Uike confirmed the sequence of events and the identities of the deceased and injured individuals. The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident to determine any negligence or road conditions that may have contributed to the tragic incident.

Authorities are providing support and assistance to the injured and their families, ensuring that they receive the necessary medical care and attention during this difficult time.
